More than 30 Years working with batteries have given us a wide experience in the different battery technologies on the marked, their advantages and not least their bad and weak points.

Industrial Lead Acid and Nickel Cadmium batteries are old well known technologies, and still used in many stand-by and mobile battery applications today, but unfortunately these technologies are extreamly toxic and very dangerous for the environment. Big physical size, heavy weight, and especially short life time for Lead Acid batteries, will simply not be the best battery choice for any new generations of mobile and stand-alone power systems, so these technologies are expected to be obsoleted in line with more and more implementation of the Lithium Ion technology into the industrial sector.    

The global demand for pollution free and environmentally friendly energy systems, are main reasons why we today in ZEPIA Energy only works with Lithium Ion batteries.  

The big advantages for re-placing e.g. Lead Acid batteries with Lithium Ion (LiFePO4) are:

• 100% safe, no explosive, no fire, no smoke 
• No heavy metal or toxic's inside
• Only 1/3 of weight
• Only half physical size
• Long life time ~2.000 cycles
• Withstand high temperature as +75°C
